Nick has practiced at the independent Bar in both Victoria and South Australia since 2002.  Prior to that, he was a solicitor in Melbourne with Adelaide based industrial relations firm, EMA Legal.

Nick practices mainly in the area of criminal law conducting trials and appeals, predominantly in the District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.  He also has considerable experience in the area of employment law and has, in recent years, conducted many matters around the country appearing on the instructions of the Fair Work Ombudsman.

Nick also presides over a number of tribunals, including as a Commissioner of the Adelaide Football League, Deputy Chair of the Greyhound Racing SA Integrity Hearings Panel and has, for many years, been a member of the Legal Services Commission’s Panel of Assessors.

As one of the most senior members of the junior bar in South Australia, Nick’s work in recent years has been largely taken up with the most serious of matters such as high profile murder trials, large drug matters and large fraud matters.  He also regularly appears in the Court of Appeal.
